Ice-skating is proving to be so popular in Port Elizabeth that The Boardwalk is extending the tenure of Ice-World until the end of February 2012.

Since the facility opened its doors on December 4, the ice rink has attracted more than 13 000 visitors. Ice-World has a capacity for 120 people on the ice.

School bookings can be made from 9am to 2pm at a cost of R25 per person per hour, while normal trading hours will be from 2pm to 10pm on weekdays and from 10am to 10pm over weekends. The cost is R40 per hour during the week and R50 per hour on weekends, including the hire of ice skates.
