Algoa Off-Road Club on the land of Lloydd’s Brickworks in the Coega area Port Elizabeth is home to some of the top car, bike and quad sportspersons in South Africa. The club originally started as a car only club and with the growing demand by enthusiastic bike riders in the region opened its membership to off-road bikes and quad riders. The club has been in existence since the early 1980's and has recently honored members Kevin and Anne McTavish for their loyal support since the beginning. Recently the club started a monthly kiddie’s fun day catering for children of all ages up to 16 years old. This is offering young enthusiast the opportunity to test themselves on the track in a safe environment. Even if you are not a professional driver/rider the club encourages new members to join and become a part of the growing family of riders. Anything with wheels, which is approved by the MSA specifications, is allowed to take part in a race. Annually the club hosts the “Rene Lloydd Memorial’ in memory of the son of the family that owns the land the club is situated on, in appreciation for the use of the facilities. This family orientated club offers full bar facilities, braai entertainment areas as well as on site catering at all events. Even if you are not a rider it is the perfect outing for the family to see awesome action as the cars, bikes and quads kick up some dust and join in the social homely atmosphere the club has to offer.
