UD News/Nuus is the oldest registered free sheet community newspaper in South Africa.Established in 1971 is serves the communities of Addo, Despatch, Kirkwood and Uitenhage.UD News/Nuus is bilingual (English/Afrikaans) and gives preference to local news covering sports, business, jobs and community events.It is distributed each Thursday, free of charge, to households and businesses. A total of 30 000 copies are distributed and the UD News/Nuus boasts a readership of approximately 105 000.
The newspaper is owned by Media 24, printed by Paarl Coldset and distributed by On The Dot
