There are only a few months left before the 2010 Fifa Soccer World Cup kicks off on South African soil! The Department of Education Uitenhage District officially raised its national flag last Friday in celebration of the forthcoming World Cup. The raising of the flag was performed by District Director, Mrs N. Bashman. She challenged other departments also to fully embark on the Friday Football campaign. Seagull Primary learners were invited to show guests and delegates how to do the “Diski Dance” the official dance performed by South Africans as the host country in adding excitement to the biggest sports event in Africa.
